Question

I have just had a bout of shingles, just a small but very painful batch under my arm, its gone away except for a small like red mark, can i get shingles again?

Hi and thank you for your question. Yes, you could get shingles again, but most people who get shingles develop immunity and do not get it again. (only approximately 5% of people will). Usually if a second outbreak of shingles does happen, the rash will not be in the same place as it was the first time. Those more likely to get a second outbreak are usually immunocompromised ( for example...HIV, or on Chemo) I hope this information helps you,if so, please click accept. I wish you the best! :-)
