Question

I have a 2005 Kia Amanti, yesterday I was using the window wipers due to rain and now the wipers won't go down, when I turn my car off. They go right up into my driving view. How can I fix this?

To install:

  1. Install the wiper motor and link assembly.

Install the bolt of wiper link assembly tighten to specification: 61-96 inch lbs. (7-11 Nm). Connect the wiper motor connector.
  2. Install the cowl top cover.
  3. Install the fastener of cowl top cover.
  4. Install the wiper arm.

Align the wiper arm and blade at the original position. Tighten the two nuts of wiper arm to specification: 20-24 ft. lbs. (28-33 Nm). Install the cap of wiper arm.
  5. As far as how much it would cost to have the job done,it is hard to say it would really just depend on what shop you choose,of course most any shop would be cheaper than the dealer.
