Question

I am urinating a lot -- sometimes once a half an hour. Also, often I think I am done, but then if I push and bend over towards my feet, I can get more out. My bladder feels sensitive and so does my urethra. I do not have a bladder infection and my kidneys are working. My blood tests were good in March of 2009. I had a normal period last month on the 22nd and am ovulating now. This has been going on since a bladder infection in July. Any suggestions? I keep worrying it is a cyst or cancer or something.

Reply

yes - I had an infection I tried to treat myself with colloidal silver and other home remedies.

ultimately I took antibiotics -- it took 3 rounds... and I had to switch because sulfa made me sick

I have tested infection free the last couple of times - including last MONDAY and my urine test showed proper kidney function and no sugar

Answer

Hello,

If this Urine Test was done after you had the course of antibiotics, then the bacterial numbers would have reduced that would not be picked up on the Urine Test.

This urinary frequency is most probably from a residual low grade infection that persists even after the rounds of Antibiotics.

I would advise you to get a Urine Culture And Sensitivity test done to look for the causative organism and the most effective Antibiotic, using this antibiotic would cure you once and for all.

The sonoram would possibly show a thicked bladder wall denoting a Chronic Cystitis.

Kind Regards,

Dr.Joshi

before I accept -- I just want to make sure you know that I finished the last round of antibiotics around September 26th and had the last urine test on October 26th. Do you still think your answer applies?

Accepted Answer

Yes, if the Infection is resistant to the antibiotic used, there would be a residual infection that would remain.

The Culture Sensitivity test would able to identify this.

Kind Regards,

Dr.Joshi
