Question

I am a female, 55 years old. For the last four months I have had a feeling in the left side of my chest like my heart is flipping over. It just does it occasionally, but at least four times a day. I thought it was just stress, but my stress has reduced and I still experience. It does not hurt, it just feels like it is flipping over.

Hello,

This feling of your heart flipping over can be from an irregular heart beat / a skipped beat.

This can also be from a Hiatal Hernia or Acid Reflux.

I would advise you to see a doctor to have an EKG and rule out a heart cause like an Arrythmia that could have been brought on by stress.

Having a Chest X ray would also help in looking ofr a possible hiatal hernia / any othre chest cause.

Kind Regards,

Dr.Joshi
