Question

Hi, when trying to open attachments of certain emails I get a pop-up stating (among other things) that the reason I cannot open that file is: "file format may not be supported by any of the installed converters". How do I fix that?? Thank you so much! -Dan

Answer

Oh okay, that is a Power Point Presentation..

Unless you have Microsoft PowerPoint, you cannot open it...basically you save the file to the computer and then open it within PowerPoint.

I see that I DO have microsoft powerpoint. What do I need to do in order to make it accept those attachments??

Answer

Depending on what email program you have you need to save it to the computer and you should be able to open it, only thing is you wont be able to open it if the sender made it in the incorrect version youhave, meaning if they made/created it in PowerPoint 2007 and you have 2003 that wont work unless they saved it in the PowerPoint 2003 file format.

Hope this makes sense.

Answer

Okay Microsoft PowerPoint Viewer2007 and Microsoft PowerPoint are two different things do you have both of them installed on the computer if not this is why your getting the error..it would show up under Start--->Programs---->Microsoft Office.

Accepted Answer

I'm sorry if you don't have Microsoft PowerPoint 2007, then I would advise to buy a copy(way microsoft makes money) I can't advise to download a copy online since that is illegal but you maybe able to find a copy online.

If you need anymore help please ask, otherwise have a good night and god bless! Smile
