Question

I will retire in 18 years. I currently have 250,000.00. I think I will need 1,000,000.00 at retirement. What interest rate must I earn to reach my goal, assuming I don't save any additional funds. I will need some examples for the first few years and then I can continue from there.

Make sure to represent the savings as an investment with whih future value will be accumulated

I need to know how you came to the answer 8.006%. I opened the excel sheet and saw how you calculated the yearly amounts but do not see a calculation of how you determined the rate. Thanks.
