Question

I have been having irregular periods for 2 mths now. I had a tubal ligation could this be the reason?

HI and thank you for your question. Yes a tubal can be the cause of menstrual irregularity. There is something called post tubal ligation syndrome which is caused by a swift decrease in hormones ( estrogen/ progesterone) due to damage to the blood supply between the fallopian tubes, ovaries, and uterus. A blood test to look at your hormones will help with a diagnosis. I would recommend that you let your surgeon know that you are experiencing missed periods. For 2mths now i have beenhaving my period for 4days in the 1st wk of the mth then four more days in the same mth. I ve been going to the bathroom frequently and i have constant mood swings and major bloating. I took a pregnancy test and it stated i was not pregnant so what is the problem?
