Question

Hello, I need to replace my old thermostat with a new Honeywell programmable thermostat. The wire connections on the old thermostat are labeled: W, G, R, RC and B. What I'm looking for is a model number for a Honeywell programmable replacement thermostat. My sustem is an oil fired hot water system.

Yes, I made an erro. The wire connections on the old thermostat should read: W, G, R, RC and Rc. Sorry about that.

Answer

You have alot of options on what you can use.

You need a single stage heat, single stage cooling thermostat.

The only difference you will run into is the new thermostats use C instead of B.

Also, not all of the new stats use the C.

In addition, some stats use a rh instead of calling it an R.
