I have periods of atrial fibrilation every day that last a couple of hours. I'm otherwise very healthy. Don't smoke or take any medications. I have been under emotional stress. I was in a chilly apartment when I noticed my purple finter. I don't know for how long it had been purple. I did notice it began to fade about 30 minutes later. Four hours later it was gone.
I have had the tips of my finger go white when I was cold in the past in winter so I know about Reynauds symdrom. Although my finger tip did do the same thing, my fingers have never turned purple before. So this was new.
The heart condition puts me at risk for a stroke? Is this correct. I was once hospitalized overnight for afib in 2004.
I'm an american. I'm up here working with a psychotherapist that I had met in the states. It's a long story but I have recently run out of money due to the collapse of the economy and real estate and no longer can support myself with real estate. So I'm working with a therapist in a way that has been helping reduce my anxiety load. So after my money ran out, I've taken housecleaning jobs to support myself. I'm very poor these days. There are walk in clinics here that only cost $40 or $50 dollars.
I'm thinking I should go. I don't know what else those horrible pains could have been but a heart attack. But there was no after effect. Does that sometimes happen? The damage to the heart is from lack of oxygen but if it was over so quickly, then no damage to my heart. Still the afib happens daily. Thank you for helping me. I haven't known what to do.
Thank you for the push. I think I need to at least go in person to a clinic and see what they say. Thank you.
No need to respond. I will get up my courage and go next week.
Thank you!
