does a male need a male liver to transplant? or, will a female living donor and a male liver be good.

Already Tried:
i am being put on a liver transplant list. need a new liver. i found out just now that my sister, same blood type, would donate a section of her liver. with a cirrotic liver, etiology hep c, could this i be transplanted or do i need a have a whole liver?

Sex of the donor is not an issue in liver transplant.
You need not have whole liver.
A split liver tranplant will do.
