Question

Hi, I bought a 1986 Itasca Phasar (same as the Winnebago Lasharo) with the 4 cyl gas Renault engine. The auto battery was not hooked up and I don't know if it is a negative ground or a positive ground. Also my grandson-in-law was removing the chassy battery (under the drivers front side of coach) and it pulled off both terminals so I can't figure out which (pos or neg) is ground as well. Hope you know? I would assume both battery systems use the same type ground. Cliff

Optional Information

Year: 1986
Make (other): Itasca Phasar
Model: 4 cyl gas
Engine: renault

Already Tried:
I haven't, I do not know which battery cable to go to ground. I would assume it is negative to ground because the older fords even switched sometime in the 1950's. Cliff

Your coach is definitely a negative ground system.

Please let me know if you still have any concerns on this issue.
