Did they say there was a cyst in the actual spine?
Or spinal cord? Or spinal nerves?
Is this her neck? Or lower back?

she told her that it was a cyst in her neck and might be pushing on the nerves the lower neck going into the collerbone area is where the pain is, she would not even show us exacetly where on the neck or the imaging photos

OK.
Well, the more likely thing in the neck in that area would be a herniated disc -- which can "pinch" the nerves in the neck and cause pains that seem to radiate into the shoulders.
Epidural steroid injections can often help "soothe" these irritated nerves, as the steroid medications are anti-inflammatory in nature.
The much less frequent arachnoid cyst could be a possibility. Or a perineural cyst -- which is a cyst around a nerve. Or a facet joint cyst -- another cyst which could cause a "pinched" nerve, but this is not likely in the neck.
So, unfortunately, it really is tough to say without seeing the MRI itself, but if you want to get a clear answer to this question -- you can request the radiologist's report from the place where she got her MRI. The report should state what they feel this actually is -- and to see if it is even a "cyst".
