Hello,
Thank you for your question.
Any head injury, especially if accompanied by symptoms of headache and dizziness, needs to be checked for a possibility of brain bleed as soon as possible.
The only way to check for blood in the brain is to do CT scan. You need go to emergency room, again, as soon as possible, to be evaluated further.
Please let me know if I can assist you further.
Good luck,
Julia
Unfortunately the only definite way to tell is to do CT scan. Having normal blood pressure is not an indication of no bleeding.
How bad was your injury? Did you fall? What did you bump your head against?
I didn't realize that it's been already 5 days since it happened. If you did have some blood in the brain, it would have shown itself by now. Besides having headaches and dizziness you would have had imbalanced gait, or blurry vision, or confusion or other neurological symptoms. Since you dont have any of the above symptoms, there is a very unlikely chance there is blood in the brain. To be safe, dont take any Aspirin based products and go to emergency room if any of those symptoms do develop. It is unlikely that they will develop 5 days after an injury though.
However, to rule out the bleed 100%, CT scan is necessary.
