Question

I have a judgement against someone and he has had 30 days to pay and has not contated me to pay. He doesn"t own anything so I need to know what papers and where to get them in order to be able to collect the money by attaching his wages. It all takes place in Montgomery County. He works in Colmar.

Already Tried:
I have called him over and over and he won" return my calls. I called the montgomery court and they said the next step is to pay 250.00 and file order of execution but I have no more money and I don't think it will do any good.I have called the Montgomery Bar but haven't heard back from them either.

Unfortunately, wage garnishment is not available for collection of civil judgments in Pennsylvania. The only cases where wages can be garnished are child support matters, government student loans, and obligations relating to divorce. The only other way to enforce a judgment in PA is to use the Writ of Execution to garnish bank accounts and personal property, or place a lien against real property (which I understand this debtor doesn't have).
