ford and volvo in europe all amolst the same with problems and quality , volvo has slight better safety cage stronger in accident and better air bags. the current Volvo S40/V50/C30 line is built on a modified version of the same platform as the current Mazda3 and European Ford Focus. It is this car that will likely be coming to the U.S. in 2011 there is not much to compare as problem you picked both cars that are alsmost same just different names ask me more what you like to know about volvo i tell you

ford focus 1.8 is slight better in performance than volvo you have i thing on focus 15 more horse power than volvo here below is all volvo engine for you to take look i would recomend to you volvo ford is good also volvo safety wins
