Question

Hi I have been feeling rather unwell over the last few days but with very odd symptoms. It started with stinging and aching pain in my toes with then affected my wrists and left forearm on and off. My foot in particular was quite painful to walk on. I thought maybe just a bit of rheumatism due to the damp weather. However I now also have itchy skin in a few places, feel a bt dizzy and woozy and my vision is a little blurred. Last night even with all the lights on in the house it seemed a little dim. So I am a bit perplexed. I've done some research to try to figure it out. I was wondering if it could be diabetes. I have an underactive thyroid which I take supplements for and that has improved. But I do suffer with thrush a lot and the pharmacist asked if I had been tested for diabetes (that was a while ago). Anyway, your help would be appreciated.

Hello,
As you describe you need to undergo Complete Blood Count , ESR , S.uric acid , RA factor , Blood Sugar , Blood pressure monitoring , CRP for further evaluation.
Possible causes of foot , toe , wrist pain include-
Gout
Rheumatoid Arthritis
Diabetes
Apart from this , blurred vision , dizziness can be caused due to low blood pressure or low blood sugar which should be ruled out.
I suggest you to consult your regular doctor for further evaluation and management.
In the meantime you ahould drink plenty of water and vitamins rich juices.
Take OTC Motrin as well to relieve pain .
I hope this helps.
