Question

I have a 1999 Ford F350 with a 7.3 Diesel engine and on the side of the fuel filter there is a part that is attached with two screws and has a steel line attached to it that runs down the front of the engine and dumps out to the ground. When I turn the truck off, fuel dumps out of this line. I am trying to find out what that part is and if possible what the part number is. The Ford dealers do not have adequat pictures to find that part. Thanks, Chuck!

Just tried to find the part and no Ford dealer can find out what it is.

This is the water drain tube,to drain water from the fuel bowl, the part that is mounted to the fuel filter housing is the drain valve. The seals in the valve are worn and won't seal anymore, the drain valve can be replaced to fix the leak

That is not the part that I was referring to. I finally found the part and it is a pressure relief valve on the side of the filter and I purchased a kit that contained a plunger, a spring, a new seat and three o-rings. I appreciate you attempt to help and I would like to see that you get paid, even though you did not point to the correct part.
