hi guys i have a f350ford box truck busted ign. switch on colinum /it a 1994/can i run a wire from hot side of coil to the battery and start it that way at t/he soelonid is this possiable/ if not how XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX/

are you just wanting to make the starter work? do the dash lights come on, just the starter won't work with the key?

when the switch was working the truck would start and as you were driving along it would shut off/jiggle switch try to start10/15minutes it will start up/removed starter wire ign.wire under dash /dash lights come on /spedometer light up/can hear fuel pump two/three.seconds/starter tryes no fire//would like to set up remote starter switch under hood

do you know where the starter solenoid is? it should be mounted on the fender I believe passenger side if memory serves.

yes the solenoid is on right front fender

ok. all you need to do to make the starter engage is remove the little small wire from the small post. Apply 12 volts to that post and the starter will engage. If there are 2 small posts it's the post that has the wire on it that you can just pull off and the post will be marked with an "S"

you can rig up a switch to 12 volts. don't forget to use an inline fuse incase something goes wrong. don't need the truck burning down....
