2006 grand vitara: The keyless entry system works intermittantly (both key fobs). When trying to use the actual key, there is a lot of trouble getting the key to turn in the ignition switch housing.

Accepted Answer

Hi
Thanks for gatting back to me.
Ok with the fobs you have they must be keyless entry/keyless start.
The first thing to do is to open up the fob and clean the buttons and contacts with a solvent called brake cleaner(availible from motor spares) allow to air dry, bend the battery contacts and replace the batterys.
The keys on keyless start models are allway tight going into the barrel and theres notthing you can do about this fault.
