Question

Our 11 year old shephard/husky dog was fine this AM; when returning from work 4 hours later we noticed she couldn't get off the couch and when she finally did her balance was way off and she's been vomiting, can't even keep water down; when she stands she's very wobbly and can't stand for very long, when she tries to go out to go to the bathroom when she squats she completely falls over; could this be a stroke?

Its not likely a stroke though what I suspect, vestibular disease, can look a lot like that.

You can read about the inner ear issue vestibular disease here

http://www.marvistavet.com/html/body_vestibular_disease.html

Its like really bad motion sickness and can make a dog as wobbly as if she is drunk and make the eyes move back and forth and cause the dog to vomit.

If she could have gotten into anything toxic, or really can't hold anything down, you may want to see your vet. Toxin ingestion can be treated even if its just with supportive care but if its vestibular disease an antinausea shot, some meds to help reduce inflammation may help this all pass more rapidly.

Vascular accidents in the brain are less likely in the dog and you can read about them here

Hope this helps you!
