my mom just found out that she has multiple myeloma. can you please tell me what type of treatment she is looking at. she is almost 70 yrs old and has diobeites. she had breast cancer two years ago and finished the chemo for that last may and has been told that it compoletely gone. she also has been taking heart medicine since jan of 2007 after her heart attack. please tell me what kinds of radiation treatments she is looking at and what the effects will be with her pre existing medical conditions

Multiple myeloma is the cancer of plasma cell which is a type of white blood cells located in your bone marrow. It a fact that there is no cure, but treatments are mainly for pain relief, avoid complication and stabilize your condition. Usually treatment is not recommended if there is no symptoms, but regular follow up is required to see if the disease is progressing.
