Hello jeanine,

I believe I am the one who talked to you the other day about taxes you owe from 1999.

Did you now have another question?

Answer

Hello again dingus,

Unfortunately, we do not have any direct contact with the IRS regarding your particular tax situation. All we can do is to help you understand the tax laws as they relate to your particular case.

As suggested earlier, if you have not been contacted further by the IRS regarding the taxes you owe from 1999, at this point I would not make any attempts to contact the IRS. Instead, you should wait to see if they contact you regarding the amount you still owe. If they do contact you regarding the amount due, at that time you can request to set up a payment plan with them based on what you can afford to pay. You would only need to continue with those payments until such time as the statute of limitations expired, which should be coming up very soon on this tax debt. Once the statute of limitations expires, the IRS can no longer pursue you for collection of this money.

If this was helpful please press the Accept button.

Thank you dingus

Answer

Hello dingus,

No, you do not have to pay anymore. You already paid a $38 deposit for this question, so accepting the answer does not charge your account for any additional money.
