Question
i`m in law enforcement and experienced an unprovoked altercation with a coworker.I filed a report in the correct manner with a witness cooberating the incident but the chain of command has decided to put me in harms way by allowing this individual to be in very close proximity to me.It is in the state correctional dept.Iam currently trying very hard to avoid this individual but she is going out of her way to be in my presence. She has been relocated from another prison for insubordinate reasons .Do I have any reason for legal actions against anyone?????????

Unfortunately I don't believe so. Ii assume the appropriate reprimand and discipline was applied by the company. They are not required to take steps to keep you separated from this other employee, except perhaps in the case of sexual harassment which appears not to be involved in this case. You will have to conduct yourself on the basis that the matter has been resolved and dealt with and only if there are ongoing issues do you have a basis for futher complaint.
