Question

how much does a vulvar biopsy usually cost on average for someone who has no health insurance? my doctor's office can't/won't tell me the cost. where/how can i find a way to pay for it/get it cheaper? i really think i need to get a biopsy soon (as recommended by my gynecologist) since i've seen 2 doctors about it and both aren't sure what caused my irritation and itching and swelling. i've tested negative twice for STDs and herpes, and there is no yeast infection, and both doctors think it's caused by an allergy to certain products, which I strongly disagree b/c I've been using the same products for years with no problem (Gold Bond powder -recommended by one of my other doctors-and fragrance-free feminine wash). Right now I'm using mycolog to treat the swelling that just recurred. Thanks!!

Greetings.

A vulvar biopsy can cost $750 to $1500 depending on the facility.

Since you do not have insurance, you can also visit one of the centers run by the Health Resources and Services Administration, they offer affordable quality healthcare to people without insurance like you.

You can find a health center near you by clicking here :

That way cost would be far low.

Please feel free for your follow up questions.
