Question

I was ruled against in arbitration hearing. The arbitrator had a woman working in his office that I had evicted from one of my rentals. I won a 7000 dollar judgement against her in court a month before arbitration. On another matter with another person this arbitrator was really rude towards my witnesses and seemed bias towards me from the beginning. What options do I have to relinquish this decision and get another arbitrator? What are my options in general? The decision against me was substantial 250,000 dollars. In California.

Accepted Answer

To vacate the arbitration award, you would need to file a motion with the court to set aside the arbitration award and remand the case to further arbitration by a new arbitrator.
