I've had quite a bit of experience with what you are describing and on an E-tec it is never a pretty situation.
Yes, it was bad fuel that damaged the lines. Not as likely to be ethanol as other "unknowns" like tolulene, zylene, or God knows what. Evinrudes lines, pumps and fule hardware are pretty ethanol resistent these days. They state their stuff is tolerant up to 15% ethanol which is well above the Fed mandated 10% allowance.
In any event, I hate to say it but you will need a new lift pump, VST (high pressure pump), engine side fuel lines and rails; and pretty likely, (2) new injectors.
Call Evinrude customer service at (XXX) XXX-XXXX and tell them about your situation. I have had several situations like these where Evinrude has offered the parts at a greatly reduced price if this is your first time in this situation.
Best of luck and let me know how you make out. Above all.... be courteous, polite, but state your concerns.
As edit; the fuel pump and injectors are not serviceable. You will also, obviously, have to empty your fuel tank before you run the engine after repairs have been made.
