I am not a physician, but am familiar with the class of medication that you are taking called benzodiaqzapine. How long have you taken it as the sedating effect tends to wear off in time.

Do not just stop without talking to your physician. There are other antianxiety medications in the same class which my patients reports as being less sedating. Xanax is one of them. Another antianxiety drug of a different class and with no sedating effect is called Buspar. I would suggest that you talk to your doctor about any change ion your dosage and also about the two other medications that I mentioned.
Remember again there can be side effects to abruptly lowering your medication so please speak to your doctor about it first,
