Answer

Hi,

Please boot up in 'Safe Mode with Networking', then download the following freeware security program, Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware:
http://majorgeeks.com/downloadget.php?id=5756&file=15&evp=693ee0b20204960edfd909666f809b26

A download window should come up automatically ...run and install the same, then carry out a full system scan using the program, and remove the security threats detected, if any.

Hopefully, this should resolve the issue you were having thereafter ...keep me posted.

so when I finally ran that program it just took off adware.. That would not fix my screen just locking up, would it?

Posted by B. Rath 28 days and 21 hours ago.

Info Request

Your issue might have been caused due to lack of memory resources, which were being used up by the trojans/malware.

Assuming you ran the program and removed the security threats detected, does the issue still persist now?

I used trend it enevr found the Trojan. The other program found the Trojan, that I used.. It also found lots of broken, not working window programs, could the troan messed with those? To cause the computer load and then after start up load is finish just freeze up and then anything you have open will say not responding? Thats what msg I will get.

Answer

Certainly it could, and is infact one of the major causes for the type of issues you are having. Now, please download the freeware security program I mentioned, Mlawarebytes' Anti-Malware, and run a full system scan using the same.

Check if this helps resolve some of the issues you are having, and let me know.

I did do that program and thats what it took off adware programs.. Is there a program out that fixes maybe window broken window programs? I used trend Hijack and got lots of stuff it had on the problem page.. But had not done anything with it yet..

Broken Windows programs? Like a blank white window, showing up as 'Not Responding'?

no did not say it was responding, said something like program not working or something.. When I click on my browser during start up.. It will work right away, and then like 1 min later just lock up and say not responding.. All other stuff will stop responding, so seems like right after final start up the computer just locks up..

Okay ...since you have already used Trend Micro HijackThis, could you save a logfile in the same and paste the contents in this thread so that I can take a look?

That looks all good, except for a couple of things:

1) More than one security program tend to overlap each other, slowing down the system in the process; I would personally suggest you to keep Trend Micro, and uninstall Avast.

2) Registry cleaning programs often cause more harm than good for your system; please uninstall RegCure and Registry Mechanic.

Now, there's a handy freeware utility I would suggest you to download, as follows:
http://www.ccleaner.com/download
Done that, run the same and click on the 'Run Cleaner' button in the window that comes up in order to do a comprehensive cleanup of useless data in your system.
Next, click on the 'Registry' tab present in the left pane, then scan for and fix issues found in your registry.
Now, click on the 'Tools' tab present in the left pane, then under the 'Uninstall' tab, look for and highlight programs present which you don't need ..and click on the 'Run Uninstaller' button to uninstall the same.
Under the 'Startup' tab, look for and delete the program entries scheduled to run when you start up your computer, which you don't use, or need to run at startup.

Let me know if all of these makes any noticeable change in the functioning of your system.
