Hello my name is Matt and I will be more than happy to assist you.
With the car fully warmed up do the heater core hoses feel hot?
If it is hot in one hose and warm at the other then your problem is not in the cooling system.
Your problem with be with the Heater Blend Door, Heater Control Head, or a vacuum leak.
Does not have a temp gauge, however, it is coming up to full temp. If you losen the cap, it will boil out a little, which every car I have every had did.
I wish I did but the vehicle is to old for GM's online guides, and my two other programs are not helping either. But the part list does list off a Heater Control Valve. I'm unsure if your vehicle has one or not.
From the heater core follow the hoses to the engine. at any point is there a plasic valve connected to one of the lines before they connect to the engine?
The car had no heat when I got it, it runs great, did not cost me anything for the car
Remove the hose from the heater core that goes to the top of the engine (not to the water pump) put the hose into a gallon container. start the vehicle and see how long it take to fill the container up.
How long did it take?

Thanks Matt, I will drain it tomorrow. I don't think it will take three gallons. I am leaning toward the raditor. The fluid that was in there was nasty and it looks pretty bad for what I can see inside.
I am going to accept the answer, we gave it hell, and tomorrow is another day. Pleas send me an email if you think of anthing else I might try tomorrow.
