Hi There!!!
Thanks for Choosing Just Answer...
When you say front windows are you talking about a two piece windshield?
Thanks, Robert
OK
For the windshield I would go ahead and have them shipped to you and have them professional installed by an RV repair facility that has experience. You are going to have a hard time finding windshields from a salvage yard and I would be very concerned with them being cracked, chipped etc. HERE is a place in my area that might carry these, they also have some inventory of side glass. I would also have the gasket replaced if you have one holding the glass in.. I would also watch the installer, IT is very important that the old urethane be scraped down to a thin, uniform layer to prevent the windshield from sitting unevenly against the pinch-weld. When the glass sits uneven it can pop out of place. Who ever is doing the installing should be doing a dry fit with the glass prior to installing, if the glass is to tight sometimes the fiberglass needs to be taken down. IF the glass is to loose it should be shimmed. On many two-piece windshield installations, when both windshields are removed at the same time, the top of the front cap will sag and they really should be replaced one at a time. Also very important that the RV does not move for some time after the install, no driving, leveling or shifting of weight....
I would only purchase the side glass from a salvage yard and that is only if the widow is in good shape, no signs of condensation or a creepy seal in the window.....
Hope this helps....
