Hello
Pancreatitis (either acute or Chronic) has been directly linked to Alcohol use. Exercise should have no impact on the development of Pancreatitis.
Prednisolone can also cause Pancreatitis. I would venture to say that the two combined could have caused your condition.
I would cease the alcohol intake and ask your Dr if you can be put on something different than the Prednisolone. I realize that some medical conditions necessitate the use of Steriods, but under the conditions of someone with a recent bout of Pancreatitis, it might be necessary to be put on something different.
Cigarette smoking, high triglyceride levels in the blood, and high levels of calcium in the blood can also put you at risk for Pancreatititis.
Hope this helps!
