You want to be sure and measure the amount she is being fed. A fur baby her size should get 1to 1 1/4 cups daily, you can divide in two feeding.
Cut back the food slowly so you do not stress her system
You also want to make sure she gets plenty of exercise. 30 minutes to 1 hour walks twice daily. If cutting the food back does not seem to work you may want to change to a weight management diet with less carbs then the beneful.
The feeding guidelines on pet food are usually pretty accurate what you want to do is feed the amount recommended for the weight she should be not the weight she is.
