Answer

Hi

That is a real tough problem that you have.

I would suggest that you really need to try the omeprazole and see how you get on.

There are others medicines that you can try such as sucralfate but there are not really any effective " do it yourself" treatments other than reducing alcohol and avoiding nicoteine.

from the info I have searched on the web it seems most people with bile reflux do not respond to omeprozole anyway and that ursodeoxycholic acid is better for bile ??

are there any natural product that help ?

do you think the problems I have are because of the bile reflux ? or the duodinitis ? i wasnt too bad and was having curry etc up till about July then bang have been teribble since get a lot of pain in my stomach and gas in a morning which smells awful, i also have indegestion a lot and a sore throat and hoarse voice.

the thing is I am getting married in June and want to be fit and well and back to my normal weight

I am quite tough and have sufferd several ailments in the past including kiddney stones colapsed lung and miacaditis so I am not averse to pain but am really misrable at the moment.

Answer

Hi

I would tend to not agree with that - most types of gastritis - chemical or otherwise usually respond well to omeprazole.

Also "bile reflux duodenits" is a misnomer as bile is noramlly to be found in the duodenum!
