Hi XXXXX XXX~
Is your dog unable to stand at all, or is he just unsteady on his feet? How long has he been sick?
What breed dog is he?Could he have gotten into something he shouldn't have?Is he an 'eater-of-objects' such as socks, ect.?
Has he been eating his regular meals?Any vomiting?
With large barrel-chested dogs who are having these types of issues, the first thing I think of is bloat...which is where the stomach twists on itself cutting off either end. This can be fatal if left untreated.
That being said...I'm not sure that's what's going on since your dog is still eating and not vomiting.
If this were my dog, I'd have my regular vet take a peek at him. His symptoms are varied enough that there could be something pretty serious going on. Things like Lyme Disease or Anaplasma spring to mind, but it takes a blood test at your vets to get a definitive diagnosis on something like that.
he is just sat now obvisly not knowing what to do with him self the vet opens at 9 it is now 550 i have heard of bloat and hear dogs die in excuciating pain he seems just obviously uncomfy with the situation but not crying in pain, would a diaroheah problem affect his back legs,
Diarrhea wouldn't affect his legs unless he'd had it for several days without eating..then he might be too weak to stand.
I would absolutely call your vet as soon as they open in the morning and have them take a peek at him.
Don't try to get him to eat or drink...that can just upset his stomach more.
I would just monitor him for the next 3 hours. If he gets worse, you might want to call your vet and wake him up.
