Question

I have been sued for collections. I contacted a lawyer who filed a motion to dismiss that was late. The court ordered a default judgement and I am now having my wages garnsished despite being exempt under Florida law. My wages have been zero for 6 weeks now. My lawyer never sent and exemption. the plaintiff has now filed a motion to disburse funds. Today I went on my own to the courthouse and filed an exemption form and hearing request. Would you have an idea how long it would take for a hearing or for a decision to remove the garnishment? My funds are frozen and the hardship is tremendous. Lastly, what are other motions I can use?
