Question

In the game of volleyball, the uniform consists of a team jersey (typically the property of the school) and spandex tight (fitting shorts comparable to swim wear worn w/o underwear and is the property of the player). At a tournament recently, one of the players had forgotten her spandex. My daughter was told by a male coach to relinquish her spandex to this player, eventhough she ALREADY HAD THEM ON (yes, w/o underwear). Could this in any way be deemed sexual harassment? Is it illegal in any other way?

If the other player needed to play, and your daughter had space to change (private space), it is not illegal although it is definitely in poor taste, since the spandex belonged to someone else (your daughter). If your daughter consented and nobody was there to view her disrobing, it is not harassment although the reason for removing her from playing needs to be addressed by the principal--typically coaches do not allow team players to participate if they themselves forgot their own uniform.
