How long are you taking both drugs and in what doses?

did you consult a doctor yet?

did you take these both together in past?

none have been taken together except the xanax and lexapro. None are being taken now. the lexapro and xanax were taken for 10 days and they made me feel terrible

Thank you for the information,

 

The lexapro and st john wart should be avoided and not taken together as there is a rare risk of serotonnin syndrome when both these drugs are taken together.

 

You should consult your doctor if you start both drugs together.

I am done taking the lexapro and xanax, I just need to know how long to wait before taking the st johns wart

dear alice,

 

The elimination half life of lexapro is around 30 hours and it may take 4-5 days for the drug to be completely metaolised after the last dose.You may wait for a week before you take the st john wart
