will a dealer take a car that has failed inpection for emission problems as a trade in. i have a 2006 saab aero 92x turbo and want to trade it in for it is very expensive and difficult to serice. i would like to use it as a trade in at a ford dealer. my husband has bought several cars from this dealer and they know him quite well. do you thank they will accept the saab as trade in with any kind of value?

it failed becasue of five code violations-although one mechanic has reversed the codes
and after driving 500 miles fewer codes came back alto he didnt give me details and he has the paperwork. it is driving fine and has no symtoms at all. the reason for selling is because only saab seems to able service this car. do you think i will be able to trade it?

yes,you should be able to trade it in,depending on what needs to be done to fix the vehicle to pass the inspection the dealer may knock this amount off of the trade in value of the vehicle so they can fix it,but other then this there shouldnt really be any problems with trading it in.I hope this info helped,if you need anything else let me know,Thanks Pete
