Hello,
There is a possibility if a pinched wire, or screw through a wire in a door; however, if this were the case, you may notice other issues. My question to you is,do you have a DVOM {digital, volt, ohms multi meter} that can read amps?

That is hard to say. If your loosing power that quickly, you either have a severe drain on the electrical system {why I asked about the DVOM for quick check} or your battery is shorting internally {not really likely since it is new, but can happen}
If you remove the panel, it is hard to say what you may see. The screws are normally away from the wiring.
You did not state how long from shut down to restart. was it the next day or right when you got home?
The connections, when you have them off, peel the rubber back and see of it is full of the white corrosion. If so, use a neutralizer like baking soda and water, and please use safety goggles and wash your hands.
If it is all clean, A amp test is next to look for a severe draw and a AMP test on the battery. If the river just took a meter and stated that the battery had voltage, chances are it may not be carrying the needed amps. I have installed new batteries that failed in a few weeks.
