Question

Despite what my repair book indicates I can't find the radiator drain plug. If there is one or if it is hidden I need to know exactly what parts I need to get to it. My vehicle is a 1997 Lincoln Towncar. Thank you very much!!!!

I already have a picture of the radiator drain plug's location so this visual aide you sent does not help me at all. My question is simply what parts I have to remove to get to it? I simply do not want to remove parts that are not required to get to the drain plug. I would like to have a detailed method of how to do this. If I was not clear enough in my initial request I apologize. Thank you very much!

Answer

Raise the vehicle and access the draincock from the bottom. Turn the wheel to the extreme right. You may need to take the inner splash sheild off to get a good view, but it will be right there.

Thank you very much for your last response. Without your help my vehicle would have certainly been driven to the shop or I would have spent another week trying to find that little drain plug. The suggestion to remove the inner splash sheld was certainly the key for my success. Again, I say thank you!!!!!
