will ativan and xanax show up as the same thing on a drug test? can a employment urine test tell the difference between xanax and ativan? if my prescription for xanax is expired by 3 months? can i still take whats left and not worry about getting fired

Hello . Welcome to JustAnswer. Xanax contains Alprazolam which belongs to class Benzodiazepines Ativan contains Lorazepam which also belongs to class Benzodiazepines Both are commonly used an anti-anxiety drugs but are different drugs, with different properties e.g. Xanax is moved out of body slowly than Ativan. Yes they have different byproducts after getting used up in body (after metabolism) and can be differentiated via sensitive chemical testing of urine. Hope that solved the query. Regards
