Thank you for that information. Yes small dogs can have a drop in blood sugar if they do not eat throughout the day so breaking up his one meal into several smaller ones will help with that.

 

I would suggest that you start training him in obedience so you have more control and respect from the dog. You can train him speak and quiet also so he knows the difference and how you want him to behave when you give the quiet command. You first need to teach speak though. I am going to direct you to site for training that will take you step by step in commands. The training is cheap enough all you need is a clicker for about 3 dollars and a package of hot dogs to train with. Take one half hot dog and cut it up very small for his size , you want him to be able to swallow it hole and quickly so really small pieces.

 

You should have everything under control fairly quickly by doing this. Just be sure he is hungry before you start training.
