I get very depressed i soon as i feel bored mentally, i avoid my children and became work-oholic, how can i become a good mother playing with children and enjoy staying at home without being extremely sad? I terribly suffered of boredom as a child, am i being very selfish, traumatised or is there another underlying issue? i hate holidays and go on maternity leaves for no more than 2 weeks otherwise i feel that urge of spending money or if i can't i spend my days crying.

Thanks for your question. I can only give the right direction here. I would say first of all you are very young and these symptoms should be sorted out. These are symptoms of depressive illness but I will like to rule out any other systemic disorder. I will recommend detail evaluation for you and some specific tests like thyroid profile, complete blood count, fasting blood sugar levels, CT brain. I will also advise you to have a session with psychiatrist for evaluation. You should also have psychotherapy, hypnotherapy as well. Try to divert your mind and you can join YOGA classes & GYM for mental relaxation and fitness. The need of time is to sort out these issues to avoid any long term mental illness.
