Question

Yesterday I noticed that I have a hard lump about 2 inches above my right elbow that is roughly 3 cm in diameter towards the medial side under my forearm. The lump protrudes & can be seen by me and others. The is a low level of constant pain with acute pain if touched. I did not work yesterday & am finding that typing & other tasks are painful. I do have a history of cystic acne, a benign tumor on the top of my left elbow & a large ovarian cyst & 26# ovarian tumor stage 1a mucinous. I have an appt w/my new Internal Medicine MD in 6 days or should I see someone today at the walk in clinic.

Accepted Answer

Hello,

This seems to be an infective swelling and likely need an antibiotic course. Seeking a consultation at a walk in clinic would be prudent as six days delay cannot be done for this.

Please feel free for your follow up questions.
