The HIv virus may be detected by pcr-rna test which may detect the virus as early as 9 days after the possible infection.It is a costly test and not available in all laboratory.
The other hiv test use the antibodies detection test and may take as long as 3-6months for the detection.though the average period is 2-8 weeks after the exposure.
