Question

My cat is scratching herself all the time recently. I've been brushing her a couple times daily to help, but I think she needs some type of skin hydration or something to help with severe dryness. When I brush her some of her skin is actually shedding as well.

She eats kibble only - for Purina Pro for sensitive systems. We give her 2 treats: "Green Treats": made w/chicken and wheat grass and "Temptations": made w/chicken.

She has been scratching for a couple weeks - seems like bites, but I'm not sure

Dear friend,

I am sorry your girl has this issue.

I blame the dry food. PLEASE READ:

Lets try some canned food.It will keep her better hydrated.

These brands below, are well-recommended and contain nothing artificial, plus, contain meat as the first, or within the first three ingredients:

Wellness (http://www.oldmotherhubbard.com/

Felidae (http://www.canidae.com/

Innova (http://www.naturapet.com/display.php?d=inn-home

Newman's Own Organics (http://www.newmansownorganics.com/pet/home/

Natural Balance (http://www.naturalbalanceinc.com/catformulas/NB_CatCanned.html

Get a product that comes in a pump that contains omega 3 and omega 6 fatty acids and put a tsp a day on her food. You can get it any pet store.

Please let me know how she is doing. I hope all will be well.

Sincerest best wishes,

Terri
