Does your dog have any hairloss in these red, blotchy areas?

Do they seem itchy at all?

Does she have access to wooded areas or tall grasses?

What food does she eat?

Its hard to describe but my dog, a 13 yr old female Beagle, has fairly dark red blotches beneath her skin. The first one we found, about a half dollar in size (diameter), was under his front leg near her chest. My wife found them today while bathing the dog.

Hello again, and thanks for your reply.

The dark red blotches you and your wife noticed, may be bruising under the skin, related to an injury, a problem with circulation, blood pressure or an underlying illness. It also may be an allergic reaction to something she contacted or ingested.

Due to your dog's age and the symptom you describe, it would be a good idea to have her evaluated by a vet in person, to get a definite diagnosis after a hands on exam, then she will be treated, based upon the findings.
