We are operating version 8.0.0.506 We have a previously installed Goldmine version 6.7. The installation of the security software severly interfers with the operation of Goldmine. It is essential for us to return Goldmine to full operational ability. Please advise

Hi,

what is the EXACT error message you are getting from goldmine?

Please list it word for word.

Also, how did you go about disabling Kapersky?

No error message, just pathetically slow. Eventually "not responding" appears when trying to log off of Goldmine. It was several months ago when I tried "pause protection" which worked marginally better, but reactivating Kaspersky was a problem.

do you have the install CD's for goldmine?

I would do the following.

1. uninstall kapersky. (pausing does not really disable it)
2. reboot
3. test goldmine. If it works fine, then either
3a. reinstall kapersky and set it to not scan & exclude the goldmine folders and temp folders from the virus scan and realtime protection.
3b Or better yet, Install another antivirus program. Preferably an older version of Symantec that is designed to work with 2000, like verson 8.x or similar.

4. If it does not work ok after removing kapersky, then it is likely damaged. Reinstall goldmine without removing it and it will refresh the install without changing settings. Back up the database to be sure, but it should remain unchanged

You can always try another antivirus. there is only one goldmine....
