hello and thank you for contacting Just Answer.
Is he neutered?
Is there any other odd behavior?
Ok,
Your boy should have a full exam performed by a veterinarian.Unneutered males are at risk for enlarged prostates which could be applying pressure on the rectal muscles.
They are also at a higher risk of Prostate Cancer.
Your vet will also want to check for neurological disfunction, spinal tumors or disc disease
Unlike urinary incontinence, bowel incontience is most often a symptom of a much bigger problem.
Please have him examed by your vet and try not to correct him until you get to the source of the problem. When this happens most dogs do feal ashamed and know they have done something bad, but it may be something he has no control over.
Please keep me updated on his progress.Candy
