2001 chev 1500 4x4 with the 305. Experience a coolant leak somewhere near the water pump. Removed skid plates but still can't locate exact location. Would the pump leak, or is it something else that could be leaking? The hose connections are all ok. I ran vehicle to temp and could see nothing drip at that time. parked it and left overnight now have small puddle under vehicle. What do you think?

if the leak is centered it is most likely a water pump....i would check the pump for play i would also look at the front of the pump for traces of coolant they are famous for leaking out of the weep hole on the pump when they fail
